The Gokai Way is a professional holistic health practice based in Stoke-on-Trent, North Staffordshire. It was founded by Mark Brereton, and offers a personal approach to Japanese Health Arts and some of these include – Reiki, Kiko, and Zazen.

A little bit about The Gokai Way – Gokai translates from Japanese to English meaning – Five Precepts or Principles. They were originally taught in many different traditional Japanese Arts such as Buddhism, Reiki or Martial Arts. Therefore, The Gokai Way treats the ‘Five Principles’ as the basic ethos of life and professional practice. Please see the Japanese and English translation below.
- Kyo dake wa – Just For Today
- Ikaruna – Do Not Be Angry
- Shin pai suna – Do Not Be Worried
- Kan sha shite – Be Grateful (Thankful and Humble)
- Gyo o hageme – Do Your Duties Fully (In life, practice and work)
- Hito ni shinsetsu ni – Be Kind To Others (and yourself)
